Doctor Who fans won’t have long to wait before they can enjoy David Tennant’s final stories on DVD thanks to a slew of DVD and Blu-ray releases scheduled for early next year.
The Complete Specials collection containing all the 2009 special – The Next Doctor/ Planet of the Dead/ Waters of Mars & the upcoming Christmas Specials – will be available on both DVD and Blu-ray is due for release on on January 11, 2010.
For those who’ve already purchased The Next Doctor and Planet of the Dead, Tennant’s final three stories (Waters of Mars & the upcoming Christmas episodes) are also being released in a ‘Winter Specials‘ collection on the same day.
The ‘red button’ animated episode Dreamland- which takes the Tenth Doctor to Roswell, the home of crashed alien spaceship – is set for release on February 1, 2010.
There’s also a January DVD release lined up for Tennant’s RSC portrayal of Hamlet which will be screened by the BBC later this month
