Cast and crew of The Decoy Bride enjoying the Isle of Man as a film loaction

Former Dr Who David Tennant has been filming his new project on the Isle of Man this week.

The Decoy Bride is a movie based in the outer Hebrides, with filming taking place across the Island from Fleshwick To Ballaugh.

It's a British Romantic Comedy set for a cinema release next summer.

He's joined in the cast by Kelly MacDonald from No Country For Old men and Sex And The City 2 star Alice Eve.

Filming started on Sunday the 27th June and has been out doors. The Scotsman says the Manx changeable weather has been perfect!

David Tennant and the producer Paul Ritchie spoke exclusively to 3FM on the film set.

Paul Ritchie, who has produced 4 movies on the Isle of Man before, said the cast and crew are loving the Island and it's beauty and said that the film is going to be the next big thing. He said British RomCom will be as good and popular as Bridget Jones.

Listen above to hear Tennant talking about taking on a new role, what he thinks of the Island as a film location and the Manx weather!
